New Zealand, Argentina Eye Deeper Ties
The announcement followed talks between New Zealand Foreign Minister Winston Peters and Argentine President Javier Milei during Peters’ parliamentary and business delegation visit across Latin America.
Peters emphasized that both nations are focused on improving economic efficiency “in order to deliver more jobs and higher living standards through export growth.”
The statement also quoted Peters as saying the discussions “demonstrated our growing business, education and people-to-people links with Argentina, while stressing our joint commitment to open, rules-based trade.”
As part of the visit, the delegation met with Argentina’s National Congress and engaged with the New Zealand Parliamentary Friendship Group, underscoring efforts to deepen bilateral legislative and commercial ties.
